What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome – IBS?
If you get tummy (abdominal) pain for no good reason – that’s IBS. Along with this goes constipation, or diarrhoea, or you may switch from one to the other – often with normal spells in between. IBS causes other problems, too. Your tummy swells up with gas (called ‘bloating’), and you can have excess gas. It’s a common problem. If you don’t have it, chances are you know someone who does. Many people suffer in silence. Don’t.
